There something about the night-life that makes us women pull out all the stops when applying makeup. Hitting the town allows us to up the glitz and glam factor. I’m all about the eyes, so dramatic colors and heavy liner is one of my favorite party looks.

NYX Cosmetics is one company (named for the Greek Goddess of the Night) who attracts professionals and trendsetters alike. The eyeshadows have been said to be comparable to MAC and I must agree. I recently picked up the Single Eyeshadow in Lime Green. This shadow glides on smoothly and is very pigmented. It also has a lovely gold shimmer to it.

NYX offers lipsticks,blush, concealers, the list is endless. The Single Eyeshadow line alone, offers 160 shades!

Although NYX products can be found at a few retail stores (Ulta has a limited selection), I do recommend you click around Nyx Cosmetics’ site.

Most products at this site average $3-$7; compared to MAC it’s definitely a bargain!
