DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know conditioners and styling products won’t be as effective if there is build-up on your hair?

If it seems as of late, your favorite hair products aren’t working as well, build-up may be the problem. If hair is limp, oily, frizzy or uncooperative, a deep-cleaning is in order. This is a process that should be done once a week, preferably at the same time you deep-condition.

Look for shampoos that are clear (avoid creamy) and state “clarifying” or “deep cleaning” on the package. These are specially formulated to remove oils, gels, and hairspray from locks. Deep cleansing also benefits the scalp by unclogging pores to allow proper hair growth.

Top deep-cleansing shampoos:

~Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo
~Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo
~Herbal Essences Degunkify Tingling Deep Cleaning Shampoo

Add-ins for an extra boost of cleansing:

~2 tablespoons of baking soda mixed with a handful of conditioner.
~1/2 tablespoon lemon juice added to shampoo (not advised for just-colored hair).

Good article. And so true about buildup to hair products.

My fav, and you listed it here:
    Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo.

It works really well…a deep-cleansing shampoo. And cheap, too.
