TOMA ASKS
Well, I’m nearing the end of my favorite eye makeup remover and I need some help choosing a new one! I’ve had my eyes on the Rimmel remover, but I’ve read some “iffy” reviews on it, so I’ve been holding out on that one. Lancome’s Bi-Facil is next up on the list, but when your pinching (and squeezing, suffocating, etc.) pennies….sigh. So lovely readers, I’d like to know what product removes your “war paint” effectively. Thank you in advance!

i just bought L’oreal Dermo-Expertise early on in the day..it’s even on my lateset post
i love that makeup remover!
i even compare it with Bi-Facil!
I can’t stand makeup removers so I haven’t tried enough of ‘em to give you a good rec. However, the mascara I’m currently loving dictates that I must use one (my regular cleanser just doesn’t remove it) so I am all ears on this post. I’m currently using Wet n Wild’s eye makeup remover and while I LOVE the fact that it’s not super oily and it doesn’t give you that “I’m looking at the world through foggy glasses” syndrome that other oil-based removers give you, I’ve found that it just doesn’t effectively remove that last bit of mascara from under your eyes, if you know what I mean.
@Thiamere: I forgot about L’Oreal, I’ll check it out at Ulta. Thank you!
@Recessionista: I wanted to try the WNW, but I thought I read somewhere that people had problems with it burning their eyes. Did you have this prob too? It’s cheap enough that I may pick it up anyway.
Funny that you ask that, because I experienced the burning for the first time today! I have been using it after I wash my face, just to remove the last bits of mascara from underneath my eyes. So when I’m using it, I usually don’t have to put too much on my cotton pad because I’m mostly directinh it toward my undereye area. But today I changed up my routine and wanted to use it to remove *all* of my eye makeup before I washed my face. So I drenched my cotton pad in remover and ouch! It stung a bit. This only happened on my left eye because when I went to use it on my right eye I was a lot more careful. If you keep your eyes tightly shut, you shouldn’t have any problems, but again, it didn’t remove everything. I still had a bit of mascara underneath my eyes, even after using two cotton pads drenched in remover.
If you find something that works well, doesn’t make your vision go blurry, doesn’t sting, removes all traces of makeup and is under $5, I will write a blog post ringing your praises to all. And I’ll also send you cupcakes! lol!
I use the Neutrogena eye makeup remover and I love it. I put a small amount on a cotton ball and it removes everything quickly and gently. I tried Rimmel and absolutely hated it. It burned and it didn’t remove my makeup. The best part about it was the bottle.
My fave : Loreal Eye & Lip make up remover.
Thank you everyone! I’m going to grab the L’Oreal and the Neutrogena both and compare them.
Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover is good and well priced. It’s economical, too. You don’t need a lot to take off eye makeup.
I like the Neutrogena eye makeup remover and the one by Clean & Clear. They are both “dual phase” types and remove waterproof eye makeup very well. I think that they work as well as the Lancome Bi-Facil but are a lot less expensive.
Thank you Dinna and Tess! There are so many brands I didn’t even think about.
I purchased the CVS brand of eye makeup remover it was right next to the neutrogena.
Atiyah,
Thank you! I never knew CVS made their own remover. I’ll check this one out too.
I’ve been using L’Oreal Dermo-Expertise Gentle Lip & Eye Makeup Remover everyday
for tough mascaras I use Lancome bi facil both are very nice doesn’t irritate your eyes
