Blockbuster Hit

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

The Jr. Masala has inherited my obsession for eyeshadows and after eyeing the above palette for a week, she finally caved and picked it up today.  The palette is part of the holiday displays at Walgreens and is by a brand called Profusion.  There are 120 absolutely gorgeous shadows in this palette and also a full-sized mirror.  The picture above does no justice in showing how pigmented and shimmery these shadows are.  They’re buttery-soft to the touch and glide onto skin with no chalky feeling (as seen in many holiday makeup sets).  The “Ultimate Blockbuster” set retails for $9.99 at Walgreens.

Rimmel Makes Me Randy!

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Rimmel has released yet another mascara and the packaging is so SUPER-GROOVY!

Does this not scream 1960’s British Mod??  The Jr. Masala and I have never met a Rimmel mascara we didn’t like and this newest release is no exception.  The extra-thick brush plumps lashes in one coat and adds extreme length with no clumping.  I was only able to find this mascara at Walgreen’s (retails for $6.99), but it should be available at more locations soon!

HIDDEN (Halloween) GEMS

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Send your favorite guy or ghoul (sorry, I couldn’t resist), a Carmex Kiss of Death this Halloween!  When you upload your favorite photo to the site, Carmex attaches an animated set of vampire lips, complete with cool sound effects.  You can also create your own message to go along with the kiss or Carmex has cute messages ready for you to choose from.

Carmex has recently branched out from their cult-classic jar formula and has added a squeezable tube form and click-sticks.  I recently spotted Strawberry Carmex at my local Walgreens along with the new Carmex Moisture Plus, which infuses lips with ultra-moisture.  Keep lips healthy and kissably soft year-round, with a total of 10 affordable products from Carmex.

Stuffing My Own Stocking

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

I’ve wanted to try the Sally Hansen HD Nail Polish for the longest, but I honestly cannot justify paying $6 for drugstore polishes.  Walgreens was putting out their holiday displays today and among all the goodies, I found the collection shown above for $4.99!  From left to right: Digital, Lite, Pixel Pretty, Hi-Def, Cyber.  There are 3 different sets available, perfect for stocking-stuffers or treating yourself!
