After that, I do my best to stay away from brushes testing until AFTER I give them a good cleaning... otherwise baby wipes (to get rid of colouring), and alcohol sanitizer thing (or maybe it isn't alcohol. dunno) to sanitize it every few days. oh gosh…trying them on straight out of the package…

I don't know how clean they are... hehe~ After they are dry and I use them, I clean in daily basis with a Kleenex. They get a weekly or bi-weekly thorough wash. I definitely wash it if I think it smells weird (which some brushes do when they are new) or if it seems that the bristles have a lot of residual dye in them (for example, some inexpensive brushes with black bristles are often dyed to make sure the hairs are that deep black shiny color). As for my usual brushes, I spot clean them with a spray-on brush cleaner I make myself each night before bed if they were used that day... and they get a full shampoo bath every 1-2 months. However I spot clean then using brush cleaner once a week. I also use conditioner once a month for eyebrushes and twice a month for face brushes I wash my brushes right away!
