Polish Bliss

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

One of the simple pleasures I’ve been enjoying this summer vacation, is having more time to pretty-up my nails!  My favorite nail companies have given me plenty of polishing to do, with the release of so many exciting collections the past few months.  I thought I’d share one of my favorite polish combinations with you and I hope you enjoy these last few days of summer!

Sally Hansen “Hidden Treasure” over Orly “Halley’s Comet”.

The ‘ole camera has been putting in overtime the past few days with the arrival of my 10 new Zoya Polishes!  For those hoping to participate in the Zoya Polish Exchange, I’ve created a folder on my Flickr to help with shade choices.  I have 5 more to upload, so check back tomorrow for new additions!

(I just discovered my swatches were mentioned on the Zoya Blog, so I’m just a tad bit happy today!)

SUMMER ROMANCE

When I purchased my first bottle of Ralph Lauren’s Romance years ago, I coddled it like a newborn baby!  I used it only for the most special of occasions and it never failed to capture the attention of those around me.  Ralph Lauren is welcoming summer with the new Limited Edition Summer Romance.  With a sensual, romantic blend of Passion Fruit, Flower and Apricot Musk, this new fragrance will heat up those sultry, summer nights even more!

And because this song has now been rolling around my mind all day…

facial cloth

One of the benefits of living right next-door to a Walgreen’s, is being able to pop in anytime to look for new displays and clearance items.  On one of these recent ventures, I came across the Walgreen’s version of Pond’s Clean Sweep facial cleansing cloths.  These cloths are pure heaven to the skin, with their fresh scent and super-soft texture.  The quilted, cloth-like feel, is gentle on all skin types and the chamomile and triple tea complex soothes with the aid of Vitamin E.  Heavy eyeliner and waterproof mascaras are easily removed, with just a few swipes of these pre-moistened beauties.

Walgreen’s Cleansing and Makeup-Removing Cloths can be purchased online or in stores for $4.29.

Pick Your Fix

I’ve been a fan of BeautyFIX since I was chosen as a winner by The Beauty Bunny over a year ago.  I love being able to pamper myself with high-end products I normally couldn’t afford to splurge on.  BeautyFIX has never disappointed with the generous selection of products sent in each collection, but now they’ve outdone themselves by allowing members to choose their own items!  Each season, members can choose up to 8 products (and there are so, so many to choose from!) and the best part is, shipping is free.  Take a look at what a few BeautyFIX panelists have to say:

For a limited time, Makeup Masala readers can enjoy their own BeautyFIX kit for only $19.99 (reg. price $49.99) plus free shipping!  Just use code BFIX1 when you sign up!
