Shine seemed the appropriate polish to show today. My long-time readers can tell you it is rare for me to speak personally through my site, but I wanted to dedicate today’s post to my fiance and his family.
This week, he lost his closest Aunt to cancer and she was laid to rest today. The upcoming weeks, when all has settled, will be the hardest for my fiance and his family and I hope you will join me in keeping them in our prayers.

Angela Rose Virgilio, may your love continue to shine down upon your family and friends. You will forever be missed.

Chicago Weather, you are a bi-polar wench if there ever was one. I worked outside yesterday (for 9 hours) in almost 100 degree heat and high humidity and at this moment it is now a chilling 51 degrees and thunderstorms just ended. So a cheery polish for today it is!
Cha Cha Cha from the Island Escape collection is a sour-apple green with the tiniest hint of glitter. There’s a golden, metallic-y feel to this polish and to me, is what really makes it stand out from your average green. 2 coats are shown here and 3 may be required for those concerned with VNL. I think this one may be my favorite from the collection.

How could you not love this color?! Sleek and chic, Grey Area is best described as a darkened, chocolate-gray creme. This applied with no streaking and it gives off a super-high gloss. Perfect in 2 coats and just downright gorgeous.

Whew! Once again, we’ve gone from wearing jackets straight into the mid 90′s here in the Windy City. So, a bright polish is required for the scorching hot day it is. The Lime Starts Here is an ultra-neon, lime green that smells so good! I keep meaning to Google the science behind scented polishes, because it baffles me how the scent can remain even through a top coat and several days of wear. Interesting!
3 coats are shown above for swatching purposes, but I would definitely wear this one over white, since it’s so sheer and slightly streaky. Is it burning hot where you are today? If so, stay cool!

No Hard Feelings is the last featured polish of Hard As Nails Week and isn’t it a pretty one? 2 coats are shown above, but I could have gone for 3 since I noticed a few bald spots in the pic. A lovely, shiny , creme which applied perfectly. I think this one would be gorgeous paired with white or even black stamping. Did you pick up any of the new Sally Hansen Hard As Nails this week? Do share!

Rock Bottom is one hot purple! Though extremely sheer, the color builds smoothly and I had no application issues at all. 3 coats are shown above and if you look closely, you’ll see bits of red shimmer amongst the pearly-purple. Hard As Nails Week will be coming to a close tomorrow and I hope it’s given you a good idea of what to expect of the new line. I’m very pleased with the many polishes I’ve tried from the line so far and I’m sure you’ll find some new favorites too!

Limestone is the first creme I’ve tried in the new Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Line. It doesn’t disappoint. This murky, muted, lime green was stunningly perfect in 2 coats and so shiny you could definitely pass on the top coat if needed. Love this one!
