Shipping & Returns
By placing your order, we assume you are in agreement to our processing/shipping terms. While we welcome and appreciate your business, PLEASE do not order if you are not comfortable with the policies as follows:


Your order will begin processing within 72 hours of receipt (not including weekends or U.S. holidays). We do our best to make it a priority to also have your package shipped within that time frame, though as we are acquiring more customers, orders may ship within 10 days after receipt.
90% of our orders are international and these orders take more time to prepare due to customs forms and extra care in packing to prevent damage, thus the reason for our quoted shipping times.

*Emails inquiring order status before 10 days will receive an automated response, as current processing information can be found by logging into your account. Our order system will notify you by email once your order has shipped. We ask our international customers to please remember that we may be up to a day behind you due to various time zone differences, so please take that into account before emailing us regarding order status.

Once your order has shipped (international), we ask that you allow the following time frames before emailing us regarding the whereabouts. This is to ensure we are allowing the customs departments enough time to clear the package:
BRAZIL: 6 weeks after ship date.
ALL OTHER INTERNATIONAL COUNTRIES: 4 weeks after ship date.

We base our shipping time frames on our experience as a company and also based on the time frame that customers have advised it has sometimes taken for them to receive their orders. While you may receive packages quickly from the U.S., this can often vary due to the cities the packages are mailed from, weather conditions and the quality of service provided by the US postal system (who will not investigate package delivery problems before 30 days).



Please note that during special sales and restocking of popular products, the amount of orders increases. This can sometimes add an additional 5-7 business days to our normal order processing time.

Please be sure your shipping address is correct. Once your package has shipped we are not responsible for incorrect addresses. We will not refund or replace orders in these cases, you will need to file a claim with your local post office.


ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT:
At this time we accept payments via Paypal and Google Checkout. You do not need to have accounts with either payment processor and they do accept payments via credit card or bank account.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING FAQs:
We ship worldwide with the exception of the following countries:
Croatia
Estonia
Singapore
Turkey

We will ship your package USPS First Class. Unfortunately, the USPS system does not provide tracking on international first class shipments. Depending on your region of the world, shipments usually arrive to you in 14 days or less. If your package is held up in customs, this can increase the time frame up to 45 days.
Customs fees and taxes are the responsibilty of the buyer. Many customs offices will charge a fee based on the weight of the package, regardless of the dollar amount listed on the claim form. If this is of concern to you, we recommend placing small orders, as our packages can become heavy due to bubble wrapping certain items (to prevent damage).

We cannot mark your package as a gift or write a lower value on the customs form. This is mail fraud and we will not take the risk of being fined.

Every country has its own customs department and international packages must clear customs in the U.S. and customs in your country. For the most part, everything goes well, but sometimes customs can be finicky and they can detain anything they want, for as long as they want.

LOST ORDERS (INTERNATIONAL):
We hate to say it, but sometimes things get lost or stolen in the mail. Please understand that we take lost packages very seriously, but we will not discuss replacements or refunds for lost packages until AFTER the following time frames have passed in order to ensure we have given the customs departments time to release the package:
BRAZIL: 6 weeks after ship date.
All other international countries: 4 weeks after ship date.

UNCLAIMED PACKAGES (INTERNATIONAL):
If your package is returned to us as "unclaimed", this means your local post office made an attempt to deliver your package and no one was home. Your postal carrier will leave a note (sometimes several) advising that your package is at the post office. It is up to the buyer to claim their package in a timely fashion and if it is returned to us, we will offer you the option of reshipping (regular shipping charges will apply again) or refunding (minus original shipping charges).


BACKORDERS AND OUT OF STOCK ITEMS:
Although we try to keep every item in stock, occasionally some items are not immediately available for shipment and may need to be backordered. Unlike some of our competitors, we allow you to keep backordered items as part of your order until they’re available to ship, without incurring any additional shipping charges. You will be notified of the backordered item and the expected ship date on the invoice included with your order. If we know an item will no longer be available, we will issue a refund via Paypal.


RETURN POLICY:
Your order is 100% guaranteed to satisfy. Please contact us at sales@makeupmasala.com for a refund or exchange if your order did not meet your expectations.


DISPUTES AND CHARGEBACKS:
Our policies listed here are in place for both your protection and ours. We consider credit card charge backs or Paypal disputes to be fraud, IF you made no effort to notify us first that a problem existed, or allowed us considerable time to resolve or clarify the matter. If a dispute or chargeback is filed without adhering to the policies set forth by us (which you agree to when you place your order), we will cancel your account. Legal action will also be taken if deemed necessary. OPENING A PAYPAL DISPUTE DOES NOT CHANGE THE POLICIES WE HAVE SET FORTH AND IT WILL NOT RETURN YOUR MONEY TO YOU ANY FASTER.


SALES TAX:
The Makeup Mix Shop only charges sales tax in the state of Illinois. The current tax rate for Illinois is 10.25%. All applicable taxes are automatically added to your order.
